Traffic Analysis

A major cause of network performance degradation lies in bandwidth availability which can vary significantly depending on the time of day and type of applications running. Webscreen not only cleans all none essential traffic from the internet circuit immediately providing enhanced bandwidth performance but it also incorporates a NetFlow capture module.

By utilising the Netflow information captured by Webscreen the data centre manager can make informed network upgrade decisions based on actual traffic flow data.

Linked to a NetFlow v9 compliant analysis reporting tool the data generated through Webscreen's NetFlow module enables traffic information to be presented on a highly granular basis to give a comprehensive view of what is happening on the internet gateway, at any given time. Using this information the network manager is able to continually monitor the network and ensure consistent quality of service and acceptable performance to all critical applications.

Once the traffic has been properly analysed policy decisions can be made and enforced by Webscreen's bandwidth management module.
