Gavin Lyons - Chief Executive Officer

Gavin Lyons, Chief Executive Officer of Accumuli, is responsible for the overall management of the company, including the planning, setting and execution of the company’s strategy.

Gavin joined Accumuli from SAP, the global market and technology leader in business management software, where he worked as Divisional Head for the Telecoms and Utilities sectors - one of largest and most successful vertical markets for SAP.

Prior to SAP, Gavin had considerable executive-level experience in the security sector derived from his role as Vice President of Sales and Alliances with Identum and three subsequent director positions with Trend Micro. Identum was a venture capitalist backed email encryption business that was successfully sold to IT security giant Trend Micro in 2008 for a multimillion dollar sum.

Gavin played a pivotal role in building Identum’s business and following the acquisition, he took a number of senior leadership positions at Trend Micro, gaining three promotions in four years due to his performance levels. Gavin worked in leadership positions across all aspects of the customer-facing business including service providers, system integrators, sales and channel.

Gavin has had a fast track career; he secured his first senior director position at the age of 26 – a position at The Caudwell Group where he was responsible for £100+ million in revenue. Over the last decade, Gavin has subsequently amassed a wealth of senior management experience in a variety of roles covering sales, channels, strategy and demand generation marketing. Gavin has also specialised in customer relationship development with organisations operating in both the IT and B2B markets. His corporate experience was gained from renowned companies such as Xerox, Compuware and The Caudwell Group.

Gavin holds a MBA from Henley Management College, awarded in 2005.


Ian Winn - Chief Operating Officer and Finance Director

Ian WinnIan is the Finance Director and board member of Accumuli plc. He is responsible for all financial and company secretarial matters for the Company and its subsidiaries.

Ian is a Chartered Accountant with over 16 years’ experience at an executive level in a number of service orientated businesses operating within finance and technology sectors.

Ian qualified as an accountant with KPMG prior to his move into industry. From 1996 to 2000 Ian held a number of senior roles with Euro Sales Finance plc culminating in operations director and company secretary, during a time of significant growth. He then took several senior positions across Enterprise plc, Ceridian Centrefile and Corporate Audio Visual plc.

Ian joined NetServices plc in November 2005 and through leading a series of divestments and acquisitions he was instrumental in the branding and launch of Accumuli plc . His vision and ability to focus on core business areas have led to over £28m of divestment and subsequent acquisition resulting in Accumuli plc’s strength in IT security solutions across technology, professional services and managed services. His restructuring, financial understanding and connections to capital sources continue to present growth opportunities to Accumuli plc.



Rick Wilkinson - Sales Director

Rick WilkinsonRick joined the Accumuli Security leadership team as Sales Director in May of 2013 following the successful acquisition & integration by Accumuli Security of EdgeSeven Ltd, of whom Rick was a co founder & Managing Director.  As Sales Director Rick is responsible for the leadership of the sales organisation across all solution sets and customer sectors and is accountable to the CEO for the sales performance of the business.

Prior to forming EdgeSeven Ltd in 2011 in collaboration with a number of ex managers of one of the market leading SIEM vendors, Rick held the position of Northern Europe Director of Sales for ArcSight who in 2010 were acquired by HP.  EdgeSeven rapidly gained a reputation as the leading subject matter experts in the field of SIEM, Log Management and Security Intelligence solutions across EMEA and beyond, working with organisations spanning many market sectors and geographies including global banks, mobile service providers and local and central government.

Before moving into the Security technology market Rick held various long term positions in sector leading vendors including Cisco & Citrix Systems working predominantly in the Large Enterprise customer sector in the UK.


Jon Inns - Director of Product Management

Jon InnsJon Inns was appointed Director of Product Management at Accumuli plc in May 2013.  He is responsible for the overall product and managed services strategy for the company, working with the development and consulting business units in order to deliver market leading products, platforms and services to our customers.

Jon has worked in the IT industry since 1997 and been involved in technology monitoring systems since 2006. Jon started his security career in the UK Government, ultimately running a research and development team responsible for delivering esoteric security projects and monitoring solutions for high threat systems.  

On leaving the Government Jon moved on to Silicon Valley based Security Monitoring software house ArcSight.  He later co-founded IT Security and SIEM specialist EdgeSeven before it was acquired by Accumuli in 2012, where he has been instrumental in integrating the capabilities to build a SIEM consulting powerhouse and driving Accumuli’s market defining Security Intelligence platforms.  

Through his career he has been responsible for conception, design and delivery of innovative security platforms and projects to Government and commercial organisations across Europe and the Middle East and is a frequently invited speaker at Security events.


Andrew Cooke - Operations Director

Andrew CookeAndrew Cooke joined Accumuli plc as Operations Director in October 2013. He has a proven track record in all aspects of running a complex operations team.

Andrew has worked client side, including senior roles with Centrica, National Grid, BT, and T-Systems, and has also spent the last five years working in the IT Security industry as Operations Director (and Board Director) for SecureData, where he was responsible for delivering operational excellence across a team of 50 and a managed security services division.

Throughout his career Andrew has worked in support, service management, data centre management, infrastructure implementation, project management, SOC management and consulting.

Along with his expertise in implementing ISO27001, ITIL standards, government level IL2/IL3 standards, ISO9001 and CRM, Andrew sits on the Accumuli Security Leadership team as an accomplished, innovative and focused leader of an expanding operations function.


Ben Wheeler - Director of Business Partnerships

Ben Wheeler Ben Wheeler joined Accumuli plc in July 2014 as Director of Business Partnerships. He is responsible for all business partner relationships including technology partners, service providers, system integrators and distribution partners – his focus is on driving the companies tier 1 relationships and is accountable to the CEO.

Ben has worked in the IT industry for 23 years and has a wealth of experience in both direct and channel sales having worked for established software companies at senior levels including SAP, Novell, Remedy, Oracle and Microsoft.

Ben’s experience in security and risk management has come from working for several security technology vendors including Trend Micro, where he was responsible for System Integrator and Service provider relationships. Ben has also run his own business supplying sales resource to early stage venture capital funded technology vendors looking to establish a ‘foot hold’ in Europe.

Ben holds an Honours Degree in Computing and Business awarded in 1991.
