Managed VPN Service

The Accumuli Security Managed VPN Service is based on technology from Cisco and Juniper and provides organisations with a way to provide secure remote access to the corporate network, whilst being simple and easy for employees to use.

Dial-Up VPN

For users requiring occasional remote VPN access, Accumuli Security will deploy a Juniper SA series appliance within the customer network. Users can then use a web browser to access the VPN service via an SSL session without having to install any additional software or configure any network connection settings. Additionally, because the service is based upon the HTTPS protocol, it generally will not matter where the user is located, be it a Wi-Fi hotspot at an airport or in a cafe or on a guest network at another company. Other types of VPN technology, such as PPTP, are often blocked when using guest access, but HTTPS is usually allowed because it is the standard for secure web access.

Total cost of ownership is reduced because Accumuli Security will take care of all user and role management, and also provide two-factor authentication to provide an additional layer of security.

Site-to-site VPN

Accumuli Security can also assist when more permanent, site to site connections are required. For organisations that have geographically dispersed locations, purchasing dedicated leased lines or MPLS connections can be expensive. A more cost effective solution involves utilising existing Internet connections and establishing permanent IPSec VPNs between each location. Accumuli Security will deploy Cisco ASA appliances in these cases and provide full monitoring and management of the VPN infrastructure via Accumuli Security's dedicated Security Operations Centre.
